Sainte-Sévère

At 6 kms from the Domaine des Dryades, is the small town of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre and the Maison Jour de Fête. Sainte-Sévère was, in 1947, the main shooting place of Jacques Tati's movie, "Jour de Fête". You can discover Sainte-Sévère sur Indre and the different filming locations with the help of a map that you can download from the website http://cdt18.tourinsoft.com/UPLOAD/depliant-Ste-Severe.pdf or by downloading the GPTO/(36) Ste Sévère route application with your smartphone. In 2009, the Maison Jour de Fête was opened on the central square, near the 17th century market hall and the fortified gate. The visit is done in the form of a show in Scenovision which mixes projections of images, reconstituted decorations and animated decorations. www.maisonjourdefete.com If you are in the mood for nature and fresh air, we advise you to go to the Parc des Parelles which is only 7 kms from the Domaine des Dryades. Classified as a sensitive natural area, the Parc des Parelles is a 24-hectare park dotted with granite boulders and crossed by streams. A picnic area is available on the site. The park is located at Le Petit Pommier, in Crevant and can be visited every day. The entrance fee is 2 Euros for adults and 1 Euro for children under 12.
