"I have always loved this country, this nature, this silence..." said the writer George Sand when talking about the Indre and the Berrichonne countryside. Located 11 kms from the Domaine des Dryades, the Domaine de Nohant, George Sand's main residence, is a very interesting place to visit. You will be pleased to visit this house built at the end of the 18th century and in which George Sand lived and received famous artists such as Balzac, Chopin, Delacroix, Flaubert and many others. Near the House of George Sand, there is a beautiful park full of hundred-year-old trees, some of which are classified as Remarkable Trees. In addition to the classic visits that you can make in the house which is open every day from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm, you will be able to take part, on January 28 from 3 pm, in a commented visit entitled "Nohant Autrement" (price: 8€).
