Born in 1922 in Lyon, she enters the Beaux Arts in 1939 until 1942, with all the diplomas: Painter and decorator, in her city. Since then, her steel engravings have travelled the world. She will not stop until the sky tells her to. From 1950 to 1973, she made all of France sing and much more. Since 1974, she entrusts steel, which she sands, brushes and engraves, her thoughts and creations for the greatest pleasure of our eyes. Courted star of the music hall for 25 years, she has sung about love, the joy of living but also sorrow and loneliness. For 25 years, she has been telling us the same feelings on steel. From Paris to Tokyo, from Dallas to Lyon, from Dakar to Shanghai, she walks her eyes over the thousand splendors of our earth. And her thousand sadnesses to melt them in stainless steel. At the same time, she shares her dazzling vision with the visitors of her countless exhibitions around the world. The Pictorial Art as sculptural, counts few feminine names. Mick Micheyl has invented a technique of Steel Engraving that makes it a unique art form, which she describes as follows "I draw with light, it is trapped by the small wounds I inflict on the Metal, with the abrasives of an electric sander. It is neither painting nor sculpture, it is my expression."
